![]() I truly hope the developers from Freelives can learn from the success and failure of the Metal Slug Franchise as a lesson and expand their Bro Universe and dodge all of the mistakes of MS4,5,6,7. expanded a little bit with enemies, weapons, mechs but didn't push and revitalise the franchise. Metal Slug 2 & 3 with the Alien Invasion was awesome!!!Ĥ onwards was just there. Furthermore, with position changes of bosses and more, the games difficulty has. ![]() Original will always be great, but i wish there was more variety of enemies. Empty your Slug's supply of shells to do extreme firsthand damage and unload your vulcans on it. Jump or crouch accordingly as the cannon prepares to fire its beam. Fun, Humour, Variety and most important Surprise. As the first boss, the Tetsuyuki still poses a formidable threat with its salvo of arcing energy bolts as well as a laser cannon on its side as its main weapon. I honestly would say that the franchise pushed as far as it could before they just ran out of new ideas and milked alot of the old concepts and just lost the very thing that made it succeed in the first place. ![]() ![]() Introduced More Weapons, More Characters, More variety of enemies, Transformations (Fat,Mummy,Zombie,Monkey), Mechs & Animals (Elephant, Ostrich, Camal). Then the sequels of Metal Slug went Balls to the wall with a variety and features. But if you play thru the very 1st (original) Metal Slug entry, if i can remember correctly, it had only 1 mech (Tank) and only 1 machine gun feature which you collected here and there thru out the many stages.
